Crystal Days is one of the biggest events related to geology and mineralogy in Europe. It takes place in Lubań in the Lower Silesia, Poland. This lovely town with a rich history reaching medieval times, is located in Poland near many tourist attractions, and very close to the German and Czech border. Perfect location combined with great July weather encourage you to spend at least a few days in Lubań. This makes a great opportunity to integrate the society of mineral collectors not only from Poland, but also from neighbouring countries. The main part of the festival is Mineral and Jewelry Show. It is the largest of this type of event in this part of Europe. Exhibitors from Poland and abroad, will present in their stalls: minerals, fossils, jewelry, stone haberdashery and professional literature surrounded by beautiful buildings at the Lubań Market.
In addition, for the visitors, we organize attractions such as cutting the agates, gold hunting or searching for minerals and fossils in specially prepared Calcite Excavation. An especially important part of the Festival are the very unique mineralogical exhibitions. Several thousands of the highest class specimens are displayed in the central buildings of the town and available free of charge for the visitors. In 2024, eight exhibitions will be held. The Festival is largely geared towards children and families, which is why so many attractions are dedicated to them. Details of the offer for kids are described HERE.
This event is also oriented on: integrating the collectors society, earth sciences lovers from Poland and abroad; and exchanging experience and knowledge, as well as common celebration during numerous concerts and parties. A special occasion to celebrate is the LAWA music festival, which has been held in Lubań for many years, has hosted the greatest stars of the Polish music scene. Read more about LAWA HERE.
