Geological field trips„Trails of Extinct Volcanoes”
Start from Bracka Tower, duration: about 1,5 hours, participation costs PLN 10/person
The author of the guide “Lubański szlak wulkaniczny” (eng. Lubański volcanic trail) will lead a trip. During it, Kamienna Góra in Lubań will reveal its greatest geological attractions. It will be possible to learn about the history of Lubań’s “black gold” dating back to the Middle Ages, also admire the monumental basalt columns, visit the old quarry and come across the history of mysterious adits. All of this attractions you will observe in the shadow of old trees, charming alleys and in the face of the breathtaking panorama of the Karkonosze Mountains and Izera Mountains.
Historical trip „On the tracks of the history of Lubań”
Start from the Bracka Tower, duration 1,5 h, participation costs PLN 10/person
During the trip you will be able to discover the most interesting places of the Old Town, including the renaissance seat of the city council, the huge Bracka Tower, hiding the dark secrets Trinitarian Tower, remembering the medieval defense walls of the war. It will be also possible to “meet” the most colorful figures from before like Napoleon, Russian tsar, the Habsburg emperor, the Swedish king, the American president, as well as urban dissidents, preachers and politicians. A historical tour of Lubań is an opportunity for a journey in time.
Historical Tour“Trails of the 1945 Battle of Luban”
Starting from Bracka Tower, duration approximately 1.5 hours, participation fee 10 PLN/person
In 1945, Luban witnessed a fierce battle between two opposing armies. The city was defended by Germans while Russians stormed it. The battle ended with the Wehrmacht's victory, leaving Luban in ruins. The traces of these intense military struggles are visible to this day. The fights had a very interesting course and were rich in dramatic events. We will talk about them during a special tour at the Sudecki Mineral Festival.
Historical Tour“Trail of Terror through Old Luban”
Lubań's history is full of events that can be described as dark, terryfying, or downright chilling. Some involve individuals, while others affected the entire town. These stories - despite sometimes being centuries old - still send shivers down your spine. Murders, ghosts, demons, tragic deaths, and unexplained phenomena - Lubań's very own "X-Files" will be opened especially for you during the Crystal Days.
Historical Tour“On the trial of archaeological treasures”
An excellent city archaeologist - Grzegorz Jaworski will guide you through the "Underground Lubań". Dark tales from the past, forgotten cryps, war graves, medieval cellars, mysterious wells, ancient weapons, and hidden treasures - you'll discover all this during the Crystal Days. This is an exclusive tour, not included in the city's regular guide offer. Highly recommended!
Historical Tour“Wieczorek with the history of Lubań”

On Saturday, July 5 at 2:00 PM, the Major of Lubań, Grzegorz Wieczorek–a respected historian and local expert–invites everyone to join a free walking tour around Lubań. Discover fascinating historical facts, local legends, and maybe even a few secrets. What will the Major reveal? Join us and find out! The tour begins at Bracka Tower, and participation is free. Don't miss it!
Lectures
At this year's Crystal Days in Luban, a brand-new addition will make its debut: the ASTROzone - a space where geology meets the cosmos. The program will include lectures, workshops, and demonstrations led by well-known science communicators: Prof. Szymon Kozłowski, Dr. Anna Łosiak, and Dr. Tomasz Jakubowski. Complementing the program will be an exhibition of astronomical photography by Michał Zimny. Alongside the GEOzone and the exhibition area, this new segment will furher promote science - especially the most fascinating kind: the science of our planet.
